Slaney
Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Sunday, June 29th, 2014, Cornelius (Con) Slaney Sr., age 88 years. Predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth Slaney, wife Barney, brothers Bill, Jack, Kitchener, sisters Theresa, Kathleen, grandson Andrew and daughter-in-law Lori. Left to mourn with loving memories are his sons Pat (Joan) of Gander, Tony (Donna) of Springdale, Con Jr. (Fiance, Sandra Forward) of Gander, daughters Sandra (Harold) of Gander, Valda (Ross) of Lewisporte, Joan (Wayne) of Gambo Pond, Carol Ann (Laurie) of Paradise, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home. Funeral service had taken place on Tuesday, July 1st from the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. Cremation has taken place. No burial at this time. Donations in Con's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Newfoundland and Labrador. Arrangements entrusted through Stacey's Funeral Home.
