WILLIAMS, JAMES ARTHUR - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Arthur Williams on June 30, 2014, at the Oromocto Public Hospital at the age of 86. Arthur was born in Pleasant Villa on March 19, 1928 to the late J. Albert Williams and Gladys (Dickson) Williams. Arthur was a farmer, but he also worked as a woodsworker and was employed with Marwood as a Scaler. He enjoyed his garden and working on the farm. In his later years he enjoyed playing cards, watching hockey and wrestling, and going out for drives. Besides his parents, Arthur is predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Dody) and brother George. He is survived by five daughters: Kathy Mclaughlin (Bob), Janie Golden (Galen), Vicky Mott (Raymond), Gale Golding (Steven) and Donna Golden (Lewis) all of Tracy, NB, two sons; Tom of Tracy and James (Shelley) of Thunder Bay, ON. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; Jason and Michael McLaughlin, Andrew, Ashley and Amy Williams, Sheena Rasmussen (Greg), Brett and Devin Golden, Philip Mott, Emily Hanson (Brian) and Lindsay Golding, Sarah Williams and Christopher Golden, four sisters: Betty Lacey of Queenstown, Jean Webb of Lakeside, Ruth Ferguson of Saint John, Nora Heater of Toronto, sister-in-law Marg Boyle of Tracy and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all the wonderful homecare workers for their kind and caring ways and the nurses and staff of OPH for their care in these last months.
Family and friends are invited to Tracy United Baptist Church Family Centre for visitations on July 3, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be at the Tracy United Baptist Church on July 4, at 2 pm. with Rev. James Harrison officiating. Interment will be at the Tracy Baptist Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Tracy United Baptist Church Family Centre. In lieu of flowers, you can express your sympathy by making a donation to the Tracy United Baptist Church Building Fund, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
