PRIESTVILLE – Elden Homer Rozee, 82, Priestville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family Saturday, June 28, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Reginald Clarence and Carrie Elizabeth (Boutlier) Rozee. Prior to retirement, he was employed at Michelin Tire, Granton for twenty years, having previously been employed with Canadian Industries Limited, Courtright, Ont. Elden was a faithful member of Christian Fellowship Church, New Glasgow. In earlier years, he possessed a passion for woodworking and the outdoors, hunting and fly fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. A man of deep convictions, Elden took pride in his work, and generously provided for his family.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Sarah Alena (Bentley); children, Randy (Jean) Rozee, New Glasgow; Robyn Rozee-Young (Chapman), New Glasgow; Bentley Rozee, White Fish Bay, Lac Seul, Ont.; Christine Rozee (Pashos), Westville; Tracey (Nabil) Rozee-Sirrat, Berwick; Cheryl (Neil) Campbell, Scotsburn; sisters, Roberta Lucas, Mission, B.C.; Carol Smith, Petrolia, Ont.; brothers, Gurdon (Lorraine) Rozee, Bedford; Ron (June) Rozee, Lower Sackville; Charles Rozee, Timberlea; brother-in-law, Rev. Lorne Gorman, Millville, N.B.; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Lorna Gorman.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Thursday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Bruce Morrison officiating. Interment will be held in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
