Murrell, David “Gary”, 70 of Coll Avenue, Stellarton passed away July 1, 2014 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late Thomas Lee and Margaret (Matheson)Murrell.
Gary was a resident of Pictou County his entire life. He was a barber by trade, as well as a long time employee of Jim’s Taxi where he drove and dispatched for a number of years.
He is survived by sisters, Lorna MacDonald, Stellarton; Joyce MacNeil, Abercrombie; Rhoda Willan, Moncton; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife the former Elaine MacKenzie, brothers, Harold and Clayton, sisters, Phoebe in infancy, Ruth Whidden and Edna MacKay.
Cremation to take place.
The family will receive visitors from 2-3:45pm Friday at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton from where a memorial service will be held at 4pm with Rev. Charles MacPherson presiding. Burial of ashes will take place in the Bethyl Cemetery, Scotsburn.
