SURETTE, DORIS - 1927 - 2014 - Doris Surette, 86, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Saturday, June 28th, 2014, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB. Born in Memramcook, NB, she was the daughter of the late Irenée and the late Julienne (née: Cormier) Melanson. Prior to returning to NB, Mrs. Surette resided in Waltham, MA during the years 1961-2002. She was a member of Ste-Thérèse parish. She is survived by two daughters: Simone (Doug) Hughes of Moncton and Lucille (Wally) Lafko of Holliston, MA; three sons: Donald (Marie-Thérèse) of Moncton, Roger (Robin) of Manchester, NH and Rhéal “Tiger” (Cindy) of Waltham, MA; one sister, Ella Gagnon of Dieppe; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Yvon in 1994; one daughter, Gizele; six sisters: Marie, Evangeline, Irma, Polly, Mélinde and Sarah and also by three brothers: Adelard, Frank & Philias.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Monday from 10 am until time of funeral. A celebration of the word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB on Monday, July 7th, 2014 at 11 am. Interment in Chartersville Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
