Tommy passed away suddenly at the young age of 69, on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the QEII Hospital in Halifax.
He was the son of the late James Warren and Mary E. (Kennedy) Nolan Warren Michalik.
Tommy is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, Louise (O'Donnell) Warren. He was the loving father of Carolyn and Melinda (James) Ontario; stepson, Leo O'Donnell, Glace Bay; grandchildren, James, Douglas, Rhyan, Natasha, Jasmine, Cassandra, Brittany Louise, Samantha and Leo Jr. Tommy is also survived by sisters and brothers, Theresa Southwell (Michael), MacAskills Brook; Hazel MacIntyre (the late Danny), Sydney; Hector (Edna), Birch Grove; Lorraine MacIntyre (the late Angus), Toronto; Robert, Birch Grove; Frances MacNeil (the late Michael), Glace Bay and William (Vilma), Oshawa. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and close friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Charlene and brother, Leo (Pie).
Tommy had a kind heart even in death he continues to give to others through the Nova Scotia Organ and Tissue Donation Program.
He grew up in Glace Bay, N.S. and spent his working years as a boilermaker in Hamilton, Ont. He fulfilled his dream; retiring in Birch Grove.
In accordance with Tommy's wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Homes in Glace Bay. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church, Glace Bay, Friday, July 4, 2014, at 2 p.m. with Fr. Norman MacPhee officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment will take place in a private ceremony at a later date.
