She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren Brette (Adrian), Erin, Megan (Anthony), Tara, Lily and Sophie. 4 step grandchildren Jordon, Elissa (Royce), Jeremy (Tara) and Brandie. 4 great grandsons, Oliver, Samuel, Chace, Hunter and 2 step great grandsons Kaiden and Markus. Grace was also survived by her sister Anne Hart and her twin brother Garth as well as many nieces and nephews. Grace was predeceased by her parents Edith and Ernest, 4 brothers Ernie, Ralph, Carl and Ron, and 5 sisters, Blanche Unrau, Evelyn Trudeau, Hilda Mirau, Edith Aschwanden, Phylis Bottimore, and some nieces and nephews. Sadly Grace
was also predeceased by her daughter-in-law Charlene Baron April 30th of this year just a short time before her own life ended. Grace was born March 9, 1938 in Swift Current, SK. Where she spent most of her life with the exception of a few years which included McMahon, SK. She attended grade school at Ashley Park School and that is where she met her loving husband Ernie. They were married Dec. 27, 1958 in Calgary Alberta. They raised all of their 5 children in Swift Current. Grace’s secular work included the research station in the horticulture Dept., SaskTel, Post Office, and Supervision of School buses. Included in this was her driving the special needs School bus, where she enjoyed the children very much. These jobs however pale in comparison to her real career that she accomplished with much love and care. That of being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Grace was a spiritual woman who made a dedication to her Heavenly Father Jehovah on July 10th, 1970 when she was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness. The whole of Grace’s life speaks of her caring self-sacrificing, generous and loving nature, which many many people had the privilege of experiencing first hand. Grace will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The void she leaves will be immense, but she lived her life with strength that she would wish upon all who mourn her loss. Her family also owes a great deal to all the support she was given thru her illness by friends, family and neighbors. As well as thru all the gestures of kindness that were given to her and the family that she often reflected upon. The family would also like to thank the care of Dr. Ibrahim and his colleagues as well as the excellent care that she was given by the nursing staff of the Swift Current Hospital during her final few days.
