Passed peacefully away on June 29th, 2014 at the Health Sciences Complex, Clarence "Roy" Tilley (b. July 21st, 1934 in Elliston, NL), currently of Wesleyville, NL. He was predeceased by his father Clarence Tilley and mother Jane (Porter) Tilley and sister Shirley (Tilley) Ryder. He is leaving to mourn his wife Betty (Coles) Tilley, daughter Brenda Miller and husband Ken, and daughter Barbara Nichols, and grandchildren Leah Nichols, Justin Miller, and Shellsea Nichols, brothers Gerald Tilley (Marion) and Douglas Tilley (Gertie) and sister Audrey Tilley and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Carnells Funeral Home on Saturday, July 5th at 2 p.m. with visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Children's Wish Foundation. His many moves around Newfoundland and even across Canada to Hudson's Hope, BC and back, enabled him to touch the lives of many friends. He will be dearly missed for his great sense of humour, his many wonderful stories, and his terrific sense of compassion and kindness.
