Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, July 3, 2014, Louisa Thorne of Norman's Cove, aged 95 years. Pre-deceased by her husband, Jethro; parents, Thomas and Emma Newhook; daughter, Judy; son, Lloyd; grandson, Zachary and sister, Selina. Leaving to mourn and to celebrate her life with thanksgiving are sons, Kevin (Lena), Clarence (Connie), Derek (Sadie); daughters, Loretta, Selina (George - deceased); daughter-in-law, Gertie; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn brother, Robert (Winnie); sisters, Martha, Sally, Myrtle, Maude and Yvonne, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Resting at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Norman's Cove, with visitation on Friday, July 4th from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm, and Saturday, July 5th from 10:00am - 12:00pm. The funeral Service will take place from the Church of the Good Shepherd on Saturday, July 5th at 2:00pm. Internment to follow at the Church of the Good Shepherd Cemetery, Norman's Cove.
