It is with great sadness that the family of the late Carrie Vivian Ryan of Port Saunders announces her passing on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders in her 75th year. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, husband Patrick (Pat); children Walter, Vivian, Agnes (Sterling), Christopher (Josee), Gladys, and Lizeta (Tim); grandchildren Hillary, Colby, Natalie, Victoria, Emily and Madison; brothers Fred (Clemmie) Hamlyn and Walter (Margaret) Hamlyn; sister-in-law Hazel Hamlyn; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Emily and Cyrus Hamlyn, her mom and dad who raised her, Carrie and Walter Pike, daughter Mildred, sisters Edna, Iola, Gladys and Pearl, brothers George, Thomas, Robert, Richard, Howard, Albert and twin brother Calvin (Bud) Hamlyn, Woodrow Pike an Gordon Pike. Visitation was held at the Roman Catholic Church in Port Saunders on Wednesday from where the funeral mass took place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 3 with interment following at the family plot.
