The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on July 3, 2014 of Helen Catherine Compton (nee Ross) of Vernon Bridge, aged 75 years.
Beloved wife of the late William Alexander Compton. Dear mother of Susan (John) Palmer, Lynn M. Rossi and Kelli (Fedel) Clarke. Survived by sisters, Mary Speight and Jacqueline Stewart; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by parents, Philip and Enid Ross, and siblings, Philip, Bill, Douglas, Donald, Eileen and Donnie.
In keeping with Helen's wishes, a private funeral mass was held on Monday, July 7, at St. Joachim's Church, Vernon River. Interment followed in the family plot of the parish cemetery.
If so desired, memorial contributions in Helen's memory may be made to the Oncology Unit of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
