BURNS, J. VINCENT - J. Vincent "Vince" Burns passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7th, 2014 following a lengthy illness. Born in Saint John on March 23, 1929, he was the son of the late Mark and Evelyn (O’Neill) Burns. Vince was a member of the ILA for many years and was a self–employed trucker. Vincent is survived by his wife Mary (Murphy) Burns, three daughters Dianne (Arnold) Gorman, Saint John, Janet (Paul) McCracken of Dartmouth, NS, Karen (Alan) MacLennan of Nepean, ON and two sons Stephen (Verna) Burns, of Dartmouth, NS, Kenneth (Doris) Burns, of Ancaster, ON, eight grandchildren, Jason, David, Peter, Jeffrey, Shea-Lynn and Brandon, Andrew and Mark and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Rita Langford.
Visitation will be held at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 11th, 2014.
