Eileen SAUL
Passed in: Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Passed on: June 29th, 2014
Eileen (Lyn) Saul, 92, (nee McNutt), born in Truro on August 31, 1921, died in Vernon, BC on June 29, 2014. She is survived by her two daughters, Donaleen, and Kathryn Saul-Fowler (Bill), and her three grandchildren, Scott, Greg, and Kim Walbergs. Lyn is the widow of RCMP officer, C/Supt (retired) Donovan (Don) Saul (1995), and was predeceased by her son, Stephen (2004), and twin daughters, Joan and Joyce, who died in infancy (1948). Trained as a Registered Nurse who served in the Canadian Army during WWII, Lyn was greatly admired as a strong, steadfast and capable woman in all that she did. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, we will miss her generosity, thoughtfulness, intelligence and humour – and most of all her love, which was unwavering. There will be a traditional Anglican family prayer service at the RCMP Chapel in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 14, 2014, and Lyn’s ashes will be interred with those of her beloved husband at the RCMP “Depot” Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to BC Children’s hospital, your local Hospice, or a charitable organization of choice.
