With saddened hearts we, the family, announce the passing of Robert 'Wayne' Lewis on July 7, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in New Waterford on Feb. 15, 1939, he was a son of the late George and Rhoda (Wilson) Lewis.
He is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine (Livingstone); daughter, Arlene Nickituk (Paul); sons, Keith Lewis (Cindy) and James Burrows (Nicole); grandchildren, Ethan Nickituk, Kimberly, Ryan and Chelsea Stubbard and Joshua, Phillip and Bridgette Burrows; brother, Bill (Wilda) Lewis; sister, Marguerite Lewis.
Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by a brother, Gerald Lewis.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 11 at 2 p.m. in Church of the Good Shepherd, Dominion, with Rev. Myrna MacMullin officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church hall downstairs. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
