LANDRY, Clyde Adam – age 36, of Amiraults Hill, Yarmouth Co., N.S. passed away on July 8, 2014 after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Yarmouth on March 14, 1978 he was a son of Daniel and Vivian (Doucette) Landry. Clyde was a loving son, nephew, and friend to all that knew him. He was a very giving person and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He worked as a lobster fisherman in both Yarmouth and Argyle. In his spare time Clyde was an avid sportsman and could often be found playing golf and baseball. He was a particularly good pitcher and played in the Sr. League for the Yarmouth Gateways, Truro Bearcats, and the Kentville Wildcats. Clyde also had a fondness for animals, especially his cat Max, dog Zach and “Ricky” the pheasant who befriended him in the last year. Besides his parents he is survived by brother, Judge Tim (Dale) Landry, Amiraults Hill; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by grandparents, Ernest and Madeline (Hubbard) Landry; and Avite and Mary Elizabeth (Frotten) Doucette. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium in Yarmouth. Visitation was held Friday, July 11, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service was held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. from New Life Church, Rev. Larry Pennell officiated. In lieu of flowers donations in memory can be made to S.P.C.A Yarmouth Branch or a charity of your choice.
