Darrell Mahoney, 60 of 4th Street, Glace Bay, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at the QE II Hospital, Halifax.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Anthony and Margaret (Tobin) Mahoney.
Darrell worked for Devco for many years until the closing of the mines.
He is survived by his sister, Valerie (Joseph) MacNeil of Glace Bay and a nephew, Tony.
Besides his parents, Darrell was predeceased by a brother, Gerald.
There will be no visitation or funeral mass. Cremation has taken place.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Donald K. Walker Funeral Home, Dartmouth, and V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay.
