Higgins, Margaret Rose – age 88, Truro

We regret to announce the sad passing of Margaret Rose Higgins on July 9, 2014 at Vimy Court Nursing Home, Bible Hill. Born in Great Village on July 7, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Susan Seaman. She is survived by stepdaughter, Sharron (Lloyd) Black; son-in-law, Pierre Landry; sisters, Jean Hart, Airdrie, Alta, Shirley Knibbs, Truro, Mildred (Julian) Scholtz, Camrose, Alta., Dorothy (Colin) Goldrich, Prince George, B.C., Susan (Brent) Garnham, Glenholme; brother, Donald (Gail) Seaman, Hamilton. Ont; grandchildren, Shane, Darren, Tasha; one step grandchild, Christa; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Fraser Brown; second husband, Phillip Higgins; son, Ronald Brown; daughter, Marylyn Landry; grandson, Derrick Brown; sister, Janice McAuley; brothers, Calvin and John Seaman; infant brother Lloyd and infant sister, Inez. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26 Ladies Auxiliary for many years and also a foster parent for many years. She will be greatly missed. A Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26 Ladies Auxiliary Tribute Service will be held on Monday, July 14 at 1:30 pm followed with the funeral service at 2:00 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev.
