Black, Elizabeth Annabelle – age 80, Truro passed away July 10, 2014 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
She was the daughter of the late Jennie (MacKenzie) and Mack Works.
Elizabeth worked at Lewis’, HoHo Restaurant and Crossley Carpet until her retirement.
She will be forever missed by her husband, Donald Ernest Black; son, Travis Black (Patricia Lewis), Truro; daughter, Michele Nelson (Wayne), Bridgewater; sister, Marion Martin, Truro; grandchildren, Wade Boake, Alta.; Chantel Boake (Aaron), Truro; Atlanta Black, Truro; Brittany Shipley (Ryan) Truro; Amy Corlett, Tatamagouche; great-grandchildren, Meadow, Dahlia, Payton and Keighan.
She was predeceased by her son, Daniel Brian Works; sister, Helen MacLeod; brother, Robert Works.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Ann Black for helping the family during this difficult time. A special thanks to Dr. David Henderson, Dr. Frank Slipp, John Gatto and the nurses on the third floor palliative care unit at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 10 a.m. in Truro Heights Cemetery with Pastor Greg Porter officiating. No flowers by request of the family.
