ROBINSON, ELAINE D. - 1929 - 2014 - With sadness the family of Elaine Doreen Robinson announces the passing of our loving mother on July 14, 2014 at home. Mother and friend to David (Lisette) of Riverview, Janice (Roman Ciesielski) of London, Ontario, Vicki Squires of Moncton, Elizabeth of Moncton; and special niece Patricia North of Toronto. She was a loving “Nanny” to Ashley Lanier, Matthew Robinson, Lia Squires, Steven Barnett, Jonathan Squires, Erinne Dilworth, and John Robinson. She is survived by two sisters, Rowena Lockyer of Moncton, and Joyce Brown of Cambridge Station, NS, numerous nieces and nephews and 4 great grand-children. Elaine was born in Canning, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late Harry and Esther North. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack in 2005 and son, John in 2002. She was also predeceased by sisters; Verna Stevenson, Marilyn Hubbard, as well as brothers; Fred and Emerson North. She was a long time volunteer (the “roll lady”) of the Oncology Clinic at the Moncton Hospital, and a member of Women’s Probus Club. Today she is with Jack and John, leaving an empty place in our hearts.
At Elaine’s request there will be no visitation prior to the Memorial Service to be held at Fairhaven Funeral Home on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 2:30pm. A reception for Elaine’s friends and family will follow the service in the Garden View Reception Room of the funeral home. A private family interment will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank Dr. Abdel-Samad, the loving staff of the Oncology Clinic, and 6600 Unit at the Moncton Hospital and Extra-Mural, as well as many friends who have provided love and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oncology Clinic of the Moncton Hospital, Harvest House or House of Nazareth.
