Peacefully at Kings County Memorial Hospital July 13, 2014, of Edwin Gillis, Lower Newtown, age 82 years. Devoted husband of Viola Gillis (Nee MacDonald) for fifty-two years. Beloved father of Garth (Karen) of Lower Newtown, Garnet (Vera) of Winsloe; his pride and joy three grand-children, Chantel, Breanne, Spencer; brother Daniel (Reta) Ross of Lower Newtown; sisters, Doris MacRae of Mt. Buchanan, Florence (John) MacPherson of Bellevue; brothers-in-law, Kenny Murphy of Orwell and Gordon Morrison of Eldon. Predeceased by sisters, Velma Murphy, Shirley Morrison; brother-in-law, Sandy MacRae. 


No visiting hours by family request. Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at 10:30 am, from St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Belfast. A private family burial to take place.
