SHARKEY, CONSTANCE - Constance Irene “Connie” Sharkey passed away on July 13, 2014 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on December 13, 1924, she was the daughter of the late George S. and Mabel E. (Dupuis) Dunham. Music was a big part of the family and Connie would sing for the service men during the war. She worked for NB Tel for 10 years and then retired to raise her family. She was very generous with many charities helping when she could, especially with Plan Canada which was one of her favorites. She loved nature and animals. She was a resident of Cedar House at the Loch Lomond Village. Surviving are her children, Colleen and Shawn; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Frank M. Sharkey.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 10:00 am from St. John The Baptist Church, 54 Broad Street. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of one’s choice, would be appreciated by her family.
