The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, July 13, 2014, of Mary Dyment of Summerside, aged 81 years. Born in Summerside, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ann “Annie Wick” (Waite) Gallant. Survived by her brothers, Harold Gallant, Summerside; Ellsworth Schurman (Pat Bernard), Summerside; sisters June (Tom) Pick, Bethany, Ont.; Joanne (Alan) Chilton, St. Margaret’s Bay, N.S.; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband, Vernon “Vincent” Dyment; second husband, Charles Powers; brothers, Donald and Allan “Allie Wick” Gallant; and by a sister, Joan Gallant.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. A private family interment will take place later. Visiting hours Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
