RUTTLE, WAYNE RAYMOND – It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Wayne Raymond Ruttle which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, July 16th, 2014. Born 1946, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Chester Ruttle and Marion (McCallister-Yeomans). Wayne worked for Simonds Taxi for many years before retiring due to illness. He enjoyed stockcar racing, baseball, horse racing and hockey. Wayne is survived by his loving wife Rae (Anningson) of 45 years; son Curtis (Donna) of Virginia; brothers Darrell (Pauline) of Hampton, NB, Larry of Edmonton, AB; sister Fern LeBlanc (Rob Craig) of Titusville, NB; brother-in-law Gordon Floyd of Bridgewater, NS; grandchildren Kyle, Tyler and Danielle; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his sister Ruby Floyd.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). As per Wayne’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private interment will take place at a later date. Donations in Wayne’s memory may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital - Cardiac Unit, Romero House, Bobby’s Hospice, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
