Jo-Anne Arnett passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home on July 15, 2014, at the age of 63. She was born in Prince Edward Island. Jo-Anne is survived by her husband, Dan of 40 years; children, Danny (Kelly) and Kerry (Cory); and grandchildren, Hayden and Charlee. She also leaves behind her mother, Queenie Deacon; siblings, Rodney (Pam), Donna (Ronny), Glenn (Maureen) and Nancy (Kevin), of P.E.I.
Jo-Anne is a Registered Nurse and graduate of the P.E.I. School of Nursing. She will be remembered for her long-term dedication to her job as a nurse at the DVA (who were like her second family); as a kind loving spirit, and her love for her family, especially her grandchildren.
She enjoyed relaxing at the cottage, reading, boating, travelling and gardening. Visitation will be held at the Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, P.E.I., on Saturday, July 19 2014, from 1-3 p.m. The visitation will be followed by a small reception at the family cottage on Long Point Road in Rusticoville, from 4-6 p.m.
A memorial service will be held in Fredericton N.B., at the St. Thomas Conference Centre, 368 Forest Hill Road on Thursday July 24, 2014 from 2-5 p.m.
