KEDDY, THELMA IRENE - On Friday, July 11, 2014, Thelma I. (Moore) Keddy passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Hoyt, NB, she was the daughter of the late Walter and May (Alger) Moore and wife of the late Bill Keddy. Thelma was known for her sharp mind, keen wit, and her natural ability to wield her sewing needle and create beautiful clothing and other lovely things. She will be missed, not only by her family but her friends in the Seniors Friendly Circle and the Grand Bay Baptist Church community, of which she was a member. Thelma is survived by her sons Paul (Diane) Stannard, Hillsborough, NB and Steven (Pat) Bishop, St. Catherine, ON; daughter Rose (Jean-Claude) Godin, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; brother Kenny Moore, Hoyt, NB; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and many extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma was also predeceased by her daughter Brenda Love, son Jackie (Keddy) Colpitts, brothers Archie, Harold, and Donald Moore; sisters Elsie Wilcox, Evelyn McCutcheon; and her sisters-in-law Betty and Elizabeth Moore.
Arrangements entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 21, at 11 am from the Grand Bay Baptist Church. Donations in Thelma’s memory made to the Grand Bay Baptist Church Benevolent Fund or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
