Albert Leblanc

LEBLANC, ALBERT – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Albert Ernest LeBlanc who passed away surrounded by his loving wife and precious daughters on Friday July 18, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital. Born on August 24, 1949 in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, NB, Albert was the only son of the late Ernest and Alberta (Caissie) LeBlanc. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary (Donnahee); two daughters whom he loved dearly and his son-in-laws whom he loved like they were his own sons: Angela Cormier (Marcel) and Charlene LeBlanc (Philippe), both of Moncton; three precious grandchildren: Luc, Julien and Kayleigh; four sisters: Nancy LeBlanc (Fernand) of Ste-Agathe-d’Howard, QC, Rita LeBlanc (Danny) of Moncton, Jeannette Léger (Paul) of Notre-Dame and Florence LeBlanc of Moncton; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Matthew (1996). He was employed with Claude Léger as a bricklayer with Claude Leger Masonry. Claude was his long time best friend and buddy whom he loved very much. Albert was a hard worker who took pride in his work and if a job wasn’t done right, he’d do it over again. All his life, Albert was a tractor man, if it wasn’t cutting wood, it was snow removal. He was an ambitious man always wanting to do more. He was proud of his tractor and loved it much. Some of his best times in his life were camping in Bouctouche Campground à Boo with his wife Mary and all his camping family. He was always up for a good time, socializing with friends, loved music, blue grass, country and old fashion rock and roll and would whistle and sing all the time. Albert’s time with us may be over but we believe he is now reunited with his son Matthew after 18 years of being apart. We know Matthew will be so happy to see his father and we now have another angel watching over us, and like Albert’s favourite song goes, we will meet again « au bord du lac », we believe we will. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the wonderful oncology units at the Moncton Hospital and Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont for their excellent care and compassion. A big thank you to all our friends, family and community for all your support and love during Albert’s illness. Words cannot express enough how much we feel blessed.
As per Albert’s wishes, there will be no visitations. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Cœur Roman Catholic Church, Notre-Dame, on Tuesday July 22, 2014 at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, a contribution in memory of Albert can be made to the Chevaliers de Colomb of Notre-Dame, the Notre-Dame Community Centre or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements are in care of Frenette Funeral Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
