The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Friday, July 18, 2014, of Edward G. Doucette of Nail Pond, aged 79 years. Husband of the late Anne Marie (Cormier) Doucette. He was born on Aug. 17, 1934, the son of the late Clarence and Edna nee Chaisson Doucette. Dear father to Raymond (Gina) Doucette, Skinners Pond; Anita (Bob) Muise, Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Edna (Darren) Seida, Moosejaw, Sask. Loving grandfather to Cody Perry, Matthew (Rosemary), Kristina Muise, Brendan, Jordan and Gavin Seida. He is also survived by brothers Peter and Leo of Toronto. He was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Edna, wife Anne Marie, sisters Cecile and Sylvia and a brother Frank. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, Palmer Road, for visiting hours Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral will be held Tuesday, July 22, at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish with funeral mass at 1:30 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
