Merritt, Elizabeth Ellen, 73, Valley – The passing occurred on Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro of Elizabeth Ellen Merritt. Elizabeth was born in Truro, the daughter of the late LeRoy and Viola (Wood) McCallum. Elizabeth was employed as a secretary at Nova Scotia Animal Breeders, Lower Truro for twelve years. She enjoyed painting, growing her flowers on her deck and the companionship of her dogs. She is survived by her son Jeff (Jennifer), Bible Hill; grandchildren, Emma and Eric; brother Herb (Patsy) McCallum, Brookfield; a niece and two nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim; daughter, Sherry. No visitation by request. A public graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 24th at 2 p.m. in the Valley Crossroads Cemetery with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating.
