MARSH, HELEN MAY - With great sadness, the family of Helen May Marsh of Quispamsis announces her passing, on Friday July 18, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born May of 1936 she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Oickle) Abric. Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed going to Bingo with her sister Doris, attending “Good Life Gym” with the “Gym Chicks” and BBQ’s and dinners with family and friends. Helen is survived by her devoted husband John “Jack” Marsh of Quispamsis; daughters Brenda Stanley (Fred) of Quispamsis and Robbin Blackwell (Huey) of Rothesay; son Raymond Wayne Blackwell (Anna) of Quispamsis; step-daughters Cindy Marsh and Debbie Wellman both of Niagara Falls, ON; brother George Abric of British Columbia; sister Doris Soucy of Saint John; precious grandchildren Scott, Adam, Joshua, Amy, Cody, Brandon, John, Matthew, Andrea and Michelle; five treasured great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, friends and her canine companion Star. Along with her parents, Helen was predeceased by sisters Ethel, Margaret and Carol; brother Clyde and step-son Jack Marsh.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) A Celebration for Helen’s Life will be held on Friday July 25, 2014 at Hammond River Angling Association 10 Porter Road, Nauwigewauk from 6-9 pm with family remembrances spoken at 7 pm. As a tribute to Helen, please feel comfortable in wearing her favorite colour of purple to the gathering. A private family burial will be held in Fernhill Cemetery at a later date.
