BASQUE, GILLES JOSEPH - (1968 - 2014) - SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Gilles Basque, 46, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Monday, July 21, 2014. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Auréle and late Dorea (Pitre) Basque. Gilles was employed as an operator at Imperial Sheet Metal in Richibucto for many years. Gilles will be sadly missed by his wife, Rose (Daigle) Basque of Saint-Louis-de-Kent; one step-son, Jean-Bernard Daigle of Moncton; three sisters, Jeannine Cormier (Joseph), Thérèse Collette (late Johnny) both of Bouctouche, Nicole Basque (Sandy McMillan) of Rexton; five brothers, Jean-Paul Basque (Anne-Marie Robichaud) of Ste. Anne de Kent, Gérald Basque of Moncton, Jean-Claude Basque (Monica) of Elsipogtog, Robert Basque (Juanita Nini) of Ste. Anne de Kent, Denis Basque (Linda) of St. Antoine; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Gilles was predeceased by both his parents (2011) and one brother, Maurice (1974).
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, Friday at 1:00 pm until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 3:00 pm, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent. Interment will be held in at Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Cemetery, Ste. Anne de Kent. Donations in Gilles' memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
