JOHNSTON, HEATHER DARLENE - The passing of Heather Darlene Johnston of Killarney, NB, wife of John Eugene Johnston occurred on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 14, 1953 in Doaktown, NB, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Isabel (O’Donnell) Stewart. She worked as the Office Manager of Philson Ltd. Heather was a member of Sunset Church. In addition to her husband, Heather is survived by her brother, Gerald (Eve) Stewart of Carroll’s Crossing, NB; sisters-in-law, Dody (Merle) Stewart of McNamee, NB, Essie Higgins of British Columbia, Judy Johnston of Ontario, Joan (Warren) Dunn of Fredericton, NB and Ruth Johnston of Alberta; brothers-in-law, Donald Clark of Fredericton, NB, Willis of Doaktown, NB, Glynn (Amanda) and Milford (Brenda) of British Columbia; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Sharon Clark, brother, Charles Stewart, father and mother in law, Earl and Jean Johnston; sister-in-law, Joyce Johnston; brother-in-law, Harold Johnston; niece, Tina Buckingham and nephew, Tony Higgins.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at Sunset Church on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Joseph Beesley and Pastor Ron Austin officiating. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton Hospice House on Regent Street, Sunset Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
