We the family of the late Rindress MacKenzie extend our heartfelt thanks for the kindness and support shown to us during our recent loss. To all who attended the visitation, the funeral service, sent cards, called, made Memorial donations, brought food and visited our homes a sincere Thank You. Thank you to Rev. Peter MacDonald for his home and hospital visits and the sincere and personal funeral service. To organist Dr. Ronnie Stewart, soloist Carolyn Leal, the pallbearers- sons in law Wayne Jardine, Joey MacLean, Patrick Penney, grandson Russell Strickland, brother in law Eldridge MacAulay and nephew Bobby MacKenzie, Thank You.
Our thanks to the members of the numerous fire departments for your attendance at the visitation. A special thank you to the Big Bras d'Or Fire Department for the honour guard at the service and for orchestrating the escort to the grave site. Although a quiet man, we know Rindress would have been pleased to be honoured by this show of kindness and respect.
Our thanks to family friend Debbie Ryder for house sitting, helping prepare food and her many other acts of kindness. Our thanks to niece Cindy Stevenson-Landry for all her help welcoming people and getting the lunch started after the service.
We would also extend our thanks to Dr. John Kirkpatrick for his care over the years. Thanks to Dr. Chow and the staff of the Victoria County Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion shown to Rindress and all the family. Thanks to the staff at WJ Dooley Funeral Home for their professional care and assistance at this difficult time.
To each and everyone who helped in any way, your kindness and support will always be remembered.
