BOYER, GERALD K. - The death of Gerald Keith Boyer of Centreville occurred on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born July 20, 1920 in East Centreville he was the son of the late William and Bessie (Margison) Boyer. He was also predeceased by two infant children, Garth and Rhonda; a brother, Frank Boyer; four half-brothers and sisters, Sam Boyer, Clare Boyer, Marjorie Tracey and Gladys Clark. Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Leola; two children, Vernon Boyer (Patricia) and Judy Parks (Bill); five grandchildren, Melissa Boyer (Tommy), Ryan Boyer (Jackie), Amy Crouse (Steve), Lauren and Kelsey Parks; three great-grandchildren, Henry, Holden and George Boyer; a sister, Audrey "Betty" Simonds; a sister-in-law, Ruth Boyer as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from the Centreville Baptist Church on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 1 to 3 pm. A funeral service will follow at 3 pm. Rev. Jonathan Gorham, Rev. Bob McNutt and Rev. Steven Teed will officiate. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Tracey Mills Baptist Church or the Centreville Baptist Cemetery would be appreciated. L.R.
