PHILLIPS, CAROL – Marie Carol Phillips passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in 1938 she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Marjorie (Stephenson) Jones. Carol loved babysitting and was a member of the Jehovah Witness congregation. She had a passion for family, gardening, crosswords, knitting, swimming and Sunday Drives. She will be dearly missed by sons Allan (Mim) of Rothesay, NB, Stephen (Diane), Doug both of Edmonton, AB; daughters Lorraine and Maggie both of Upper Golden Grove, NB, brothers Gary (Sue) Jones of Edmonton, AB, Barry (Barb) Jones of Upper Golden Grove, NB; sisters Mary-Kim (Michael) McCluskey of Bellisle Creek, NB, Faith Maber of Fairvale, NB; sisters in-law Doris Herrington of Rothesay, NB and Roberta “Bunny” Jennings of Saint John, NB; grandchildren Nikki (Mark) Shannon, Natalie (Brad) Dorion, Curtis Phillips, Jason Hodgin, Sarah Phillips, James Phillips; eight great-grandchildren; and special grandchildren Alex, Jennifer, Jonathan Whalen; several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents Carol was predeceased by husband Robert John “Bob” Phillips, her son John, and brothers Nicholas and Jimmy.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. and Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 12noon. Interment will take place at St. Andrews Cemetery, Upper Golden Grove, NB.
