Annie passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2014, at MacGillivary Guest Home in Sydney.
She was born in Sydney, and was the daughter of the late Vincent and Isabel (MacKinnon) MacDougall.
Annie was a resident of Sydney for most of her life but spent her early years in Boston. She was a life-long member of Sacred Heart parish, Sydney and a founding member of the Cape Breton SPCA. She will be remembered by her family for her quick wit, her keen sense of humour and her way with words. Annie was a very kind and compassionate
person who loved people and animals, especially cats.
Annie will be fondly remembered by her many cousins and her very special cousin and friend, Mary T. MacKinnon.
Annie was predeceased by her parents Vincent and Isabel (MacKinnon) MacDougall and her only brother, John Joseph MacDougall in 1941.
Visitation will take place from 6-9 p.m. on Monday, July 28 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29 at
St. Joseph’s Church with Fr. Bill Burke officiating. There will be a reception following the mass. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Sydney.
At this time, the family would like to thank the staff of MacGillivary Guest Home and the CND Healthcare Centre for their exceptional care of Annie over the last number of years.
