Minnie (Hirsch) Nathanson

At the age of 92, Minnie passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Minnie was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
She was the daughter of the late Ida and Eli Hirsch.
Minnie was married to Alfred Nathanson who passed away on Aug. 13, 1970. She was predeceased by her son, Ben, sister, Edith and brothers Morris and Hymie.
Minnie is survived by her son Irwin and his wife, Joan McEwen, Vancouver, B.C., daughter Judy and her husband David Fisher, Dundas, Ont., and her daughter-in-law, Valerie Nathanson, Edmonton, Alta. Minnie had 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral for Minnie was held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 2 p.m. in Sydney Memorial Chapel. Shiva will be held on Monday, July 28 at Minnie’s home on Park Street, Sydney, from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. Monday.
