It is with great sadness that the family of the late Fintan Benoit announce his passing at his residence on Friday, July 25th, 2014 at the age of 63 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Joan; his three sons; Myles (Vanessa) in Edmonton, Shane (Veronica) in Sparwood, BC and Jason (Veronica) in Fox Island River; his four grandchildren: MacKenzie and Mason in BC and Reagan and Jack in Fox Island River; his mother, Mary Benoit in Montague, PEI; his three brothers: Norman (Linda) in West Bay, Percy in Charlottetown, PEI and Robert (Shyrell) in Montague, PEI; his four sisters: Laverne DeLoder in Stephenville, Patsy (Hillard) Felix in Winterhouses, Mildred Benoit in Montague, PEI and Rita (Todd) Layden in Montague, PEI; along with a large ­circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Frank Benoit. At Fintan’s request, cremation has taken place. Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes on Wednesday, July 30th, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 31st, 2014 at 10 a.m. with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in West Bay.
