RN age 73 years, reunited with her best friend, George after a short and courageous battle, on July 30, 2014. Predeceased by her loving husband George only 2 months ago on May 26, 2014. Also predeceased by her parents William and Mary Sheppard and her brother Bill. Left with many beautiful memories are her devoted son Christopher (Sherry) and only grandson Christian (Nanny's Little Man) the pride and joy of her life. Loving sister of Marilyn and Lloyd (Tish) Ontario, sister-in-law Dora. Also left with wonderful memories are many close friends, family and a special group of nursing friends from the Grace Hospital, class of 1963 (A). Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Saturday August 2, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of her life, will be held on Monday August 4, 2014 from St. James United Church at 1p.m. Interment to follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
