Effie Cooper of St. Anthony passed away into peace on the evening of the July 23, 2014 at the age of 99 years. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Marilyn; brother Maitland; sister Una (Tony); daughter-in-law Celeste (John); grandchildren Glenda (Tom), Lori (Ed), Tara (Kirk), Brenda (Eric), and Wade (Sheila); great-grandchildren Michael, Matthew, Morigan, Erica, Jodi, Shauna and Tony; her many nieces and nephews, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Effie lived to see the passing of her husband Harold, son Tony, son-in-law Freeman, five sisters Lottie, Hazel, Mabel, Lulu, and Ethel, as well as her brother Lewis. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony, after which the funeral service took place at St. Mary's Anglican Church in St. Anthony at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 with Rev. Fr. Paul C. Findlay officiating. Burial followed at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 28 at the Old Anglican Cemetery in St. Anthony. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
