BURNS, JOSHUA - Joshua Burns of Riverview, NB, passed away as the result of a tragic accident on July 30, 2014 at the age of 25, with his loving family by his side. Born in Halifax, NS, July 18, 1989, he was the son of Cindy Carter of Riverview, NB. He will be deeply missed by his loving mother, Cindy Carter (Craig) of Riverview, brothers, Jonathan Burns (Riverview) and Jeremy Fletcher (Calgary), sister, Jessica Burns (Justin Cormier) and his only niece Mercedes “Little One” Cormier, all of Riverview. Joshua was soft spoken with a gentle hand and kind heart. His favorite things to do were to go fishing with his brother Jon, hang out with his sister Jessi, playing with his niece Mercedes, gaming with his many friends and spending time with his girlfriend Kristin. He is also survived by his ever loving maternal grandmother, Audrey Jonah, uncle Terry Carter (Noreen), Aunts; Kinda McMullen (Al), Dawn LeBlanc (Charlie), Gail Steeves (Paul) and cousins Laura, Nicholas, Scott, Andrew, Katie, Emmy, Jeff and Chris. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Beverly Burns (Middleton) and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Nova Scotia. Joshua is predeceased by his grandfathers Herbert Carter and Arnold Jonah. Joshua will live on in our hearts forever. Because of his generosity, many others will continue to live on.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Monday August 4, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
