Passed peacefully away at the Moncton Hospital on Friday, August 1, 2014, following a courageous battle with cancer, Roy W. Norman, age 72 years. Predeceased by his son, Bryan; parents, Mary (nee Gullage) and Henry Norman; brother, Ross; and sister, Jean. Leaving to mourn, his loving partner, Shirley Levesque; children: Ira (Carolyn), Tom (Marion), Fred, Melinda Wilkins (Peter) and Kerry Lynn Waterman (Wade); grandchildren: Alicia, Danielle, Brandon, Riley and Parker; sisters: Marilyn Hiscock (Donald) and Shirley Pardy (Clayton); as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In keeping with Roy's wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation celebrating Roy's life was held in Moncton, and another will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl, on Thursday, August 7, from 12-5pm and 7-9pm. Interment will take place on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 2:00pm at the United Church Cemetery, Catalina, NL.
