Stella Pearl Whitty, of High Street, North Sydney, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Change Islands, Nfld., she was the daughter of the late Mark and Lily Hoffe.
Surviving are her husband, Daniel; daughters, Jeannie, Ont. and Patsy, Alta.; son, Frankie (Cathy), North Sydney; stepchildren, Sharon, Ont., Brenda (Grant), Middle Sackville, Donna (Rick), Danny (Roberta) and Michael, all of Ont.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Stella was predeceased by her grandson, Trevor.
There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be held at St. Peter’s Church, Ingonish on Saturday 11 a.m., with Rev. Guria Lazrus officiating. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
