ROY, ALBÉO - 1941 - 2014 - Albéo Roy, 72, of Collette, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Monday, August 4th, 2014, after a battle of five years against cancer. He was married to Étiennette Arseneau. Born December 28th, 1941, he was the son of the late Albert Roy and the late Louise Gaudet. He will be sadly missed by his wife Étiennette; one daughter, Sonia Roy (Serge Caissie) of Rogersville; one son, Mario (Jeanne) of Edmonton, Alb.; one sister, Majella Best (Noel) of Oshawa, Ont.; two brothers: Lionel (late Isabelle) of Grand-Sault and Arnel (Lorraine) of Moncton; one precious granddaughter, Annick, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother Fernand, at a young age. Albéo, or ‘Béo’ work at the REPAP Mill of Miramichi for 40 years. His favorite pass time, after his retirement, was spending some time at the cottage he builds with his own hands.
Family will be receiving relatives and friends from 2pm, on Friday, August, 8th, 2014, at the salon La Colombe, 11325, route 126 of Rogersville. The funeral service will be held at the Saint-Francois-de-Sales Roman Catholic Church in Rogersville, Saturday, August 9th, at 10:30 am. Visiting hours: Friday, August 8th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. No visitation before the funeral on Saturday, August, 9th. The family is very grateful over the Moncton Hospital Oncology Centre, especially to Dr Rubin for his devotion and also to the Miramichi Regional Hospital palliative care and Oncology Centre. A donation for the Tree of Hope or the Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption National Monument of Rogersville will be appreciated.
