JENNER
It is with heavy hearts that a very loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Aunt and Friend, Maxine Lavina Jenner peacefully passed away on July 24, 2014 at the age of 87 with her family by her side. Maxine was born June 4, 1927, on the family farm at Palmer, SK. She is predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Marjorie Collins; sisters: Ruth (Allan) Lightbody, Berna (Dan) Pretzer, and Eva (Ray) Goldbeck; sister-in-law Shirley (Bob) LaLonde, and husband of 49 years Ken Jenner in 1995. Having met at a square dance, they fell in love, and married in 1946. In 1947 they joined the Jenner family farm, Marquis, SK. where they raised 3 children. She will be very sadly missed by son Rick (Pat) Jenner, and their family, Crystal (Kevin), and Tanya (Larry); daughter Cheryl and her family, Damara, Danielle, Jesse, and Kody. She also meant the world to her 12 great-grandchildren. She is survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews: including the Deagle, Lalonde, and Lister families; as well as her very special friend, Barb Cornish. Maxine moved to Moose Jaw to be with her Dad at the age of 17. She worked at Joyners, and it was there she met her best friend Norma. While on the farm she cooked many meals, canned and gardened. In 1980 she and Ken retired to Moose Jaw, right across the street from the Co-op, “120”. She babysat for many years, and also enjoyed crocheting and sewing. In 1996, Maxine moved to Victoria Towers, where she met many friends. She kept up her sewing until 2010. She then moved to Providence Place and resided there until her angels came and guided her Home. A Graveside service will take place at Sunset Cemetery on Saturday August 9, 2014 at 1:30 pm, with a Memorial Tea to follow at Providence Place Rose Room. Bret Goodyear will officiate.
