Helen Cormier

CORMIER, HELEN - 1934 - 2014 - Helen Cormier, 79, of McNair Manor and formerly of Walsh Street, Moncton, NB, passed away on Wednesday, August 6th, 2014, at her residence. Born in Dieppe, NB, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Léona (née: Gauvin) Thibodeau.
Mrs. Cormier enjoyed travelling and took part in numerous road trips with Fr. Walter Comeau. She was a member of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce parish and Université du troisième âge, participating with the group « Aquaforme » and “Grouille ou Rouille”. She is survived by her husband, Paul; two daughters: Janice Cormier (Ghislaine Savoie) of Moncton and Simone (Phil) Babineau of Dieppe; one sister, Linda (Roger) Beers of Riverview; five brothers: Francis Thibodeau of Moncton, Jackie Thibodeau, Leonard (Karen) Thibodeau and Mike (Nicole) Thibodeau, all three of Dieppe and Antoine “Tony” (Shirley) Thibodeau of Lakeville; two grandsons: Christian and Alex; the extended Cormier family, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 7 to 9 pm and also on Monday from 9 am until time of service. A celebration of the word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB on Monday, August 11th, 2014 at 10 am. Donations to the Firefighters Burn Unit or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. An angel to watch over us. www.chartersville.com
