It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Branden Lee Parenteau, age 20 years. Branden was born on April 19, 1994 in Prince Albert. He passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 near Lang, SK. Branden attended Vincent Massey and W.F.A. Turgeon Schools in Prince Albert, then moved to Birch Hills in 2003 where he attended until he graduated. Branden started working at the Birch Hills Co-op in 2011. He moved to Lang December 26, 2013 and worked at the Weyburn Co-op until his passing. Branden was loved by anyone who knew him. He made everyone laugh with his sense of humour. Branden was instrumental in the creation of the Birch Hills skate park. He loved hanging out with family and friends, fishing, bon fires, and especially skate boarding. Branden is survived by his fiancée Victoria Gutheil, his son Carter; his mother Darlene Markowski (Todd Bushey); his father Lee (Nat) Parenteau; his brother Tyris Parenteau (Melissa Lucas); his stepbrothers Todd Bushey Jr. (Merilyn Roberts) and Troy Bushey; his father-in-law Gary Gutheil; his sisters-in-law Amanda Gutheil, Rose Gutheil and Trisha Hockley; his nieces Taya Lucas, Skyler Bushey, Azlynne Gutheil and Haylee Ann Bradbury; his grandparents Gail Markowski, Bryan and Delphine Poole, Howard Parenteau, Paul and Lynn Bushey; his great-grandmother Theresa Grimard; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather Andrew Markowski and his uncle Brian Markowski. Donations to the trust fund for Carter and Victoria would be gratefully accepted, and may be made at the Advantage Credit Union in Birch Hills. Prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, August 11 at St. Ann’s Church, Birch Hills. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 12 at St. Ann’s Church. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Donald M. Moriarty, Funeral Director.
