LEBLANC, ELIZABETH RITA (DOIRON) - (1928-2014) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our Mother, Memere, and Grand-Maman, Elizabeth LeBlanc which occurred on August 08, 2014 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born on March 10, 1928 in Barachois, NB she was the daughter of the late Thomas Doiron and the late Evangeline Gautreau. Mom was a devoted Roman Catholic and attended Ste. Therese Parish in Dieppe. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1310 Ladies Auxiliary. Mom worked in the Billing Department at the T. Eaton Company and in later years for Town and Country Ladies Wear in Highfield Square. Mom was a beautiful lady inside and out. She was often called Queen Elizabeth, which made her smile with pride. She had poise and style and had a true sense for fashion. She was a wonderful cook and very generous, never forgetting the hungry and less fortunate. Mom treasured her family, they meant everything to her. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Pauline Farrell and son Terry (Doris) LeBlanc; her granddaughters, Billie-Jo (Peter) and Tammy (Gary); her precious great-grandsons, Matthew, Benjamin, Dylan and Jackson. She was predeceased by her husband, Alyre (2010), son-in-law, Bill Kelly (1971); sisters, Eva, Julie, Amanda, Anna, and Theresa; brothers, Emile, Camille, Thaddee, Leandre, Antoine and Leonide. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In keeping with Moms wishes cremation has taken place. Resting at the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Tuesday August 12, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the Ste Therese Roman Catholic Church, Acadia Avenue, Dieppe, NB on Wednesday August 13, 2014 at 11 am. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Maison de Nazareth or a memorial of the donor’s choice. We would like to thank Doctors Walsh, Carrier, Nayak and Phalen and the wonderful nurses on palliative care at The Moncton City Hospital, who took such good care of our mom during her final days. Words cannot express our heartfelt thanks. The family would also like to thank Rejean Basque and the staff at the Residence aux beaux souvenirs, Dieppe, NB. We would also like to thank our friends and neighbours for their love and support during this difficult time. “Mom’s gentle smile and generous heart will live with us forever”.
