TOWER, VERA - Mrs. Vera Tower of Coles Island passed away with her family by her side at the Sussex Health Centre on August 9, 2014, at the age of 92. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Agnes (Phillips) Moss and was the wife of the late Perley Tower who passed away in 2006. She is survived by her five children: Alvin (Margaret) of Young's Cove, Faye Thorne of Havelock, Glendon (Pam) of Carsonville, Diane Tower of Mill Cove and Donna Paterson (Michael) of Coles Island; her nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Vera was the last surviving member of her immediate family; she is predeceased by her brothers Earl, Harold and Bill Moss and by her sisters: Emma Cox, Lulu Jackson and Marjorie Howes.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8. A Service Celebrating Vera’s Life will be held from Youngs Cove United Church on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11:00 am, a private family interment will take place at Youngs Cove Cemetery.
