Lloyd was born on February 9, 1929 in Cabri and attended school there as a child. He enjoyed horseback riding and sports in his childhood. He was united in marriage to Georgina Swanson on October 12, 1957. They nearly reached their 50th wedding anniversary, but Georgina passed away April 22, 2007. After two years as a widower, Lloyd married LaNorma Smith on July 4, 2009. They were enjoying sharing their lives together until Lloyd's fall in June 2012, which led to hospitalization and transfer to long-term care. The family is grateful for the compassionate care he received at the Palliser Regional Care Centre. Lloyd was a diligent worker. His main employers included Cabri Co-op, Swift Current Fire Department (35 years), and Swift Current Pioneer Co-op (40 years). His faith was very important to him, and he was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Swift Current. He took great pleasure in visiting with family and friends, going to church or Bible study, reading, listening to gospel music and Nite Watch, and travelling with LaNorma. In his memory, memorial donations may be made to the Community Baptist Church (Freedom 25 fund), or The Gideons Bible Society. Warren's Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
