William 'Willie' MacKenzie

We, the family of Willie MacKenzie, regret to announce his passing on Aug. 8, 2014.
He was the eldest son of the late Ross and Esther.
Besides Lucy, his wife of 38 years, he leaves behind his son, Bernard (Shana), Alberta, and his siblings Heather, Jean, Rosalie, Albert (Dee), Dolena (Ernie), George (Brenda), Kenny (Theresa), Olive, two grandchildren; mother-in-law, Susanna; brother-in-law, Noel (Tina) and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his grandparents.
In his short lifetime, Willie worked in forestry, heavy equipment and truck driving. Besides hunting and fishing Willie loved being in his garage. He was a great mechanic.
Thank you to all who supported us during this time, the staff of the CB Cancer center, VON, and palliative care. A special thank you to Loren Pemberton, RN and Tina, for helping to make his life easier and his special buddy Chris.
As per his wish, cremation has taken place. There will be no service. A celebration of his life will occur on Aug., 23, at 2 p.m. at home. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him as well as his dog Boo, whom he loved dearly.
